Daniel Radcliffe, Emma watson e Rupert Grint will gather for a special commemorating the 20th anniversary of the saga “Harry Potter” at the movies. The creation of JK Rowling won the screens around the world in 2001, and marked generations.
The special will be available on the platform HBO Max from January 1st. Called “Back to Hogwarts”, the special will feature a complete retrospective of all the work developed in the saga. The interpreters of Harry, Hermione and Ron will be the hosts.
The documentary, in the mold of the special of “Friends” (also from HBO Max), promises to unveil secrets of the production of the eight films, which together grossed about 7.7 billion dollars in worldwide box office alone — not to mention merchandising, home video, etc.
“There is magic in the air here with this incredible cast as they all head home to the original sets at Hogwarts, where they started 20 years ago. The excitement is palpable as they prepare to take their fans on a very special and personal journey. , through the making of these amazing films,” he said. “Back to Hogwarts” should also bring testimonials from actors who played a crucial role in the entire saga: Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Helena Bonham Carter (Belatriz Lestrange), Bonnie Wright (Gina Weasley), Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black) and others, in addition to Chris Columbus, director of the first two films in the saga.
