The Harry Potter film franchise marked an entire generation, with incredible stories, magic that fed our imagination and unforgettable characters. But like most things in life, everything passes, and many actors have left us.

The wonderful Alan Rickman, who will never be forgotten as Professor Snape, Richard Harris, our eternal and charming Albus Dumbledore, and the untimely death of Helen McCrory, who played Narcissa Malfoy, and who left us on April 16th of this year.

Richard Griffiths marked a lot of fans of the Harry Potter franchise, playing Valter Dursley, Harry’s uncle, a very unsympathetic man who hated wizards a lot.

Despite this, his character had a lot of charisma and became very famous in the film series. The actor has also built a great career in theater and television. Sadly, he passed away in 2013 at the age of 65.

Dave Legeno played the terrifying villain Fenrir Greyback in three films in the franchise: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the two-part Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The actor also had participation in great films, such as Batman: Begins for example. Sadly, he also left very early, he died while hiking a trail in 2014, aged 50.

Roger Lloyd Pack was a very successful British actor participating in very popular series like Doctor Who for example. He played the character Bartemius ‘Barty’ Crouch in the movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

He also had roles in major films like The Spy Who Knew Too Much. After gifting us with his talent, the actor also left us in 2014, when he was 69 years old.

Perhaps the name is difficult to remember but Timothy Bateson is unforgettable for Harry Potter fans. He participated in the movie Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, in the role of the Beast.

He was a former House Elf with a sad history that won the hearts of the public. Despite not being so well known, Timothy had a very extensive filmography, he died in 2009, aged 73.

Verne Troyer played the leprechaun Griphook in the movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. With his great acting and great characterization, his performance drew a lot of attention.

He has also excelled in comedy acting in several films in the Austin Powers franchise. Unfortunately he passed away very young, he had been hospitalized with alcohol intoxication and passed away at age 49 in 2018.

Actor Paul Ritter played the wizard Eldred Worple in the movie Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Among other great works he starred in the award-winning HBO series Chernobyl.

He had more than 25 years of career but he had to fight a brain tumor and he couldn’t resist. Paul passed away in 2021, prematurely at just 54 years old.
