Günter from Thuringia is dead
“Bauer sucht Frau” candidate dies of corona
RTL has to report the death of a candidate again: Chicken farmer Günter from Thuringia succumbed to Covid-19 disease, as his lady-in-waiting Rosi announced. Rosi herself is also struggling with a serious illness.
The Thuringian chicken farmer Günter, known from the RTL format “Bauer sucht Frau”, died as a result of an infection with the corona virus. This was confirmed by his lady-in-waiting Rosi, whom he found on the show in 2017, on Facebook. “Unfortunately Günter lost the fight against Corona,” explains Rosi. As RTL reports, Günter died on November 18 at the age of 71.
RTL announced that they wanted Rosi and the Günters family to “have a lot of strength” during this difficult time. The 17th season of “Bauer sucht Frau” is currently running on RTL. There are new episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:15 p.m. The then 66-year-old chicken farmer Günter welcomed Rosi in 2017 on his 250-year-old farm in the Thuringian Forest and learned to love it.
Rosi fights against serious cancer
Rosi herself is also seriously ill. She has been fighting cancer for a long time, according to RTL, she has been operated on several times. Two years ago she had reported that the doctors had told her that she must have been dead long ago. “But I’m not giving up. I enjoy every day as if it were my last,” she told the “Neues Blatt” at the time. The geriatric nurse also said: “Fate decides our love. He is patient. And we take this hurdle too.” At that time Rosi was still living in Rosenheim and planning to move in with Günter.
It was only in August that RTL reported the death of a candidate on the program “Bauer sucht Frau international”. Beekeeper and coffee farmer Werner, who lived in South Africa, succumbed to a “brief, serious cancer”. His was commemorated in the final show in September.
