In 2015, Mandaviya became the youngest general secretary of BJP. Mandaviya, who became a Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat for the first time in 2012, was re-elected to the post in 2018. He has also been a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from 2002 to 2007. His name is running at the fore for the post of CM of Gujarat. He is considered one of the leaders close to PM Modi.

The name of 65-year-old Deputy CM Nitin Patel is also being said to be included in the race for the new Chief Minister. For a long time, Nitin Patel has firmly held his place as the most stalwart Patel leader of BJP in the whole of North Gujarat. Even after the resignation of former Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, Nitin Patel’s name was involved in the race for the post of Chief Minister. He was also the Deputy CM of Gujarat at that time. From adolescence, Nitin Patel had jumped into the field of politics. He participated in the Navnirman movement in Gujarat as the General Secretary of Kadi area. He had joined the BJP long back. His close associates say that the most important factor in his association with the BJP is his attachment to the ideology of Hindutva.
CR Patil is special to PM Modi and Amit Shah
CR Patil, MP from Navsari, is considered a big player of politics in Gujarat. He was made the new state president of Gujarat BJP in 2020. Patil is considered close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Patil, 66, is an expert in using technology to promote development works in his constituency. Through this, he makes easy access to voters. Patil is the only MP whose office is certified by ISO:2009 in 2015 itself. This certificate was given to him for better management and monitoring of government facilities. The PM had entrusted the responsibility of coordinating his parliamentary constituency Varanasi to Patil. He has also taken up the responsibility of election of the Prime Minister in Varanasi. The important thing is that CR Patil is a non-Patidar leader. Patil has won his election twice by more than 5 lakh votes.
