Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani has resigned from the post. Elections are to be held in Gujarat in December next year. The names of Mansukh Mandaviya, Nitin Patel, CR Patel, Purushottam Rupala are leading in the race for the new CM.
Vijay Rupani on Saturday submitted his resignation to the Governor Acharya Devvrat. After resigning, he said that now I will fulfill the responsibility given by the party. He thanked PM Modi for serving the people. Rupani said that I was made CM from a worker. Now Gujarat’s development should be under new leadership.

On resigning, Vijay Rupani said that it has been the tradition of BJP that the responsibilities of the workers keep changing. But there is talk that the public is not happy with the leadership of Vijay Rupani. The High Command took this decision after knowing the public opinion. Accordingly, Vijay Rupani has resigned. After resigning, Rupani gave this information in a conversation with the media. It is also discussed that Rupani’s party was having a rift with the organization. Especially his differences with the BJP state president were coming to the fore.
5 years as CM was completed in August
In Uttarakhand and Karnataka, BJP has changed chief ministers in the same way before the elections. The change in Gujarat appears to be a sequel in this direction. Only last month, Vijay Rupani completed five years as Chief Minister. In the year 2016, the then CM Anandiben Patel had resigned, in his place Vijay Rupani became the CM on 7 August 2016.
