Guardians of the Galaxy 3: Director reveals how the film will be different from the previous ones

The movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is one of Marvel’s most anticipated films for 2023. James Gunn, filmmaker of the previous two films, will return for the third feature film.

Finishing the trilogy, the new film will be the farewell of some MCU actors, as is the case with Dave Bautista, who lives Drax in the cinema.

In a recent interview, Gunn commented on the project, which comes to differentiate itself from its predecessors as a whole, and be even better (via ScreenRant🇧🇷

Gunn revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will have even more fun, and it will mark the end of the group’s history in the MCU, with a lot of emotion.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has a lot of the fun and goofy stuff of Guardians, but it’s also incredibly exciting,” he commented.

“It’s the end of the story for this group of Guardians, so there was a lot of emotion around that. It was very serious most of the time. The actors were all trying really hard, especially Chris Pratt. It was heavy”, concluded the director.

The End of the Guardians of the Galaxy Saga in the MCU

When Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Drax and Groot were first introduced to the MCU in 2014, the characters were big news to fans at the time.

In addition to being flawed and having their big differences, they ended up coming together and making the group a big family.

In the second movie, they also brought Mantis on board, further expanding the core of the characters in the MCU.

The evolution of the Guardians of the Galaxy as a team helped the members trust each other, leading up to the conclusion of the trilogy.

The previous two films tackle an emotional theme, with Peter coming to grips with his past, which builds on the character’s entire arc in the MCU.

In addition, the third film must still explain the origin of Rocket, one of the most beloved characters in the franchise created by Gunn.

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 hits theaters on May 5, 2023.

Both Guardians of the Galaxy movies are available on disney🇧🇷
