Good news for commuters: since Monday, the Stib has increased frequencies on metro lines 2 and 6!

This improvement is possible thanks to the arrival of the new M7 trainsets on the network.

Users of lines 2 and 6 now benefit from nearly 3,000 additional spaces per hour and per direction during rush hour compared to mid-2021. Increased traffic had already been put in place on these same two lines last November.

“Thanks to these additional vehicles, passengers will be able to have more space when traveling on lines 2 and 6. This is an important factor in contributing to comfort on the Stib network, a priority for travelers (…) in the current context, ”commented the public transport company.
