Golden Globe 2023 | ‘Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio’ Wins Best Animated Feature

‘Pinocchio’version in stop motion led by acclaimed director Guillermo del Torowas one of the most acclaimed productions of last year and is already doing well in the awards season.

The film took home the statuette of Best Animationbecoming an Oscar favorite.

Remembering that the work is already available at Netflix.

At the Rotten Tomatoesthe production opened with rare 97% approvalwith very high marks 8.40/10based on 114 reviews.

Del Toro is also on board as a screenwriter for the stop-motion version, which is based on the animated classic created by Carlo Collodi.

The plot will be set in Italy during the 1930s, a particularly charged historical moment, at a time when fascism was on the rise and Benito Mussolini was consolidating control of the country.
