Genk, Westerlo and Union vs Ostend, shortsightedness in boardrooms and (again!) misbehavior supporters

Also in the 2022-2023 season we are available all week in the Jupiler Pro League on all fields. And so you can expect a review with toppers and flops, just like every week. Who caught our eye? You will find out here.

Genk steams on

KRC Genk keeps on steaming, now it actually just won all in all easily at RSC Anderlecht.

And the way in which it is done remains impressive. In this way, the team also continues to increase its lead over the first pursuers in the standings. 30 out of 30 is very impressive, El Khannouss was the man with the vista.

Amazing Westerlo

Defenders who contribute something defensively and offensively, a solid midfield and scoring strikers (Nene and Foster).

Westerlo swung like a tit and continues to do just fine as a PhD student in the Jupiler Pro League.

Speaking of impressive: Union SG has also completed an impressive first round. Second in the standings and an impressive European campaign.

All the more so the succession of matches really doesn’t seem to cause a loss of quality. Even more: the team continues to play nice football and showed that when visiting Standard.

Apart from Westerlo’s strength, something can also be said about the weakness of KV Oostende, which was slaughtered on a visit to Het Kuipje.

Every pass was almost an opportunity for the opposing team. And so De Kustboys have to recharge their batteries during the World Cup break, that much is clear.

We already talked about the supporters last week and in the meantime they have gone a step further in their misbehavior.

Bengal fire and pyro on almost all fields, which meant that several matches had to be stopped again. Charleroi’s even caused a forfeit defeat, while they were leading. Has the bottom been reached?

Trainers and Boards

Kortrijk now also suffered a heavy defeat at home against Ghent and it seems that it is gradually becoming impossible to make arrows out of wood.

For the entire calendar year 2022, things have been going wrong for De Kerels and so a solution must be found urgently. Didier Lamkel Zé will no longer offer them, nor will Adnan Custovic – he was fired and Kortrijk has three coaches this season.
