‘Game of Thrones’ actor dead: He was 75 years old

English guitarist and ‘Game of Thrones’ actor Wilko Johnson has died after a 10-year battle with cancer.

This is confirmed by Wilko Johnson’s family in a post on the musician’s website Facebook page.

‘This is an announcement we never wanted to make, and we do so on behalf of Wilko’s family and the band with a heavy heart,’ the post reads.

‘Wilko Johnson is dead. He passed away at his home in Westcliff On Sea on Monday evening, November 21st. He was 75 years old.’

Back in 2013, Johnson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and received a terminal diagnosis.

He refused chemo, and against all odds, he was declared cancer-free two years later, after an operation that removed a three-kilogram tumor, writes Daily Mail.

The 75-year-old guitarist was in a number of bands throughout his career, including Dr Feelgood and The Wilko Johnson Band.

Wilko Johnson made his acting debut in the successful HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’ in the role of Ser Ilyn Payne.

It is not clear from the notice what the cause of death for the former musician is.
