Frederik Nonnemann deeply touched by the loss of Britt Bendixen: ‘Dance is losing a great voice’

The sad news of Britt Bendixen’s passing has made a big impression on Frederik Nonnemann.

It is clear when BT meets the dancer at the gala premiere of the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’.

“It touched me extremely much. It is a huge character that we have lost, and someone who has done a lot for dance,’ says Frederik Nonnemann and continues:

“What she has done for dance has been insanely cool, and I hope that at some point we will get to know all her stories, so that the Danes can read how wild a life she has had and how talented she is has been.”

From 2013 to 2019, Frederik Nonnemann was a fixture in ‘Vild med dans’, where he learned from famous Danes – and was judged by Britt Bendixen Friday after Friday.

Frederik Nonnemann believes that the long-standing dance instructor excelled here by also grasping the “aesthetics” of dance.

“It’s just a real, real shame that dance loses someone who has such great weight and voice, and who could carry both the young and the elderly and create a universe around which dance should be more than just learning to dance, ” he tells.

Britt Bendixen was, in addition to ‘Vild med dans’ judge, choreographer, dance teacher and director. She lived to be 81 years old.
