Fans reveal the most embarrassing scene from The Big Bang Theory

According to fans on Reddit (via The Things), one specific moment in The Big Bang Theory may have been the most embarrassing of the entire series.

It all happened in the fourth episode of season four, when Howard went to Penny’s house, asking for help, after a certain incident in World of Warcraft that pissed off Bernadette. However, the conversation changed when Penny revealed that Howard had once gifted her with a teddy bear with a webcam inside.

Fans of The Big Bang Theory believe the series’ writers may have taken Howard’s awkwardness a little too far, to the point of “stalking,” which is no laughing matter in this case.

“Honestly, they overreacted with Howard’s bluntness and perversion. Offering someone a teddy bear with a webcam can easily send them to prison,” commented one netizen.

Another person said, “If I found a webcam on a teddy bear I got from a guy, I’d kick him right there and never let him into my apartment again.”

“Howard went overboard with the teddy bear. Not even the audience found it so funny,” noted another fan of The Big Bang Theory.

More about The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory is a comedy series created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, who served as executive producers on the series, along with Steven Molaro.

All three also served as lead editors. It premiered in the United States in September 2007 and was completed in May 2019, having broadcast 279 episodes in 12 seasons.

The series originally centered on five characters who live in Pasadena, California: Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), both Caltech physicists, who share an apartment; Penny (Kaley Cuoco), a waitress and aspiring actress who lives across the hall; and Leonard and Sheldon’s equally nerdy and socially awkward friends and co-workers, aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and astrophysicist Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar).

Over time, supporting characters were promoted to lead roles, including neuroscientist Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), microbiologist Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch) and comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman).
