The Walking Dead: Dead City

One of the spin-offs of The Walking Dead is The Walking Dead: Dead City, which brings together two characters in a six-episode story.

The series will follow Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan alongside Lauren Cohan’s Maggie in post-apocalyptic Manhattan.

Negan killed Maggie’s husband Glen in front of her, which made her hate the character quite a bit. The last seasons of the original series showed the two learning to tolerate each other.

Previously titled Isle of the Dead, Dead City is set in a place “full of the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty and terror”.

Gaius Charles will also star in the series. Dead City is written by Eli Journé, and premieres in 2023.

Daryl Dixon

Launching in 2023, the series will follow Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, after the spin-off was announced in 2020.

The series had to be rewritten, leaving aside Carol, Mellisa McBride’s character, and will focus only on Daryl, who will be in France.

Reedus is not the only actor on the series. Adam Nagaitis, who has also been cast, will play an Englishman who has come to Paris as a black market trader, and owns a nightclub in the city.

In turn, Clémence Poésy, an actress who will play a member of a progressive religious group, and who will join forces with Daryl.

David Zabel is the series showrunner, with Angela Kang serving as series executive producer Daryl Dixon. The main plot of the series has not been revealed.

Rick and Michonne

The untitled spin-off, tentatively titled Rick and Michonne, is currently in pre-production. So far, the cast includes Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln.

So far, the spin-off series will run for six episodes, with filming starting in January 2023. AMC has yet to reveal when the spin-off will debut.
