According to the reports, the England Cricket Board wants all the players involved in the World Cup team to be a part of the scheduled series against Pakistan. For this, the English team will reach Pakistan on 9 October, while the IPL 2021 playoff is to be played from 10 October. In such a situation, BCCI seems to be getting a big setback.

Two matches of the T20 series between England and Pakistan will be played on October 14 and 15. If this happens then 10 players participating in IPL will go to Pakistan. In such a situation, whichever franchise reaches the playoffs, it will be at a loss. Eoin Morgan is the captain of KKR, while Sam Curran and Moeen Ali, two important players of the Chennai Super Kings team, are part of the English team. In such a situation, two franchises seem to be facing the biggest setback.

Let us inform that after the cancellation of the last match of the series, David Malan (Kings Punjab), Jonny Bairstow (Sunrisers Hyderabad) and Chris Woakes (Delhi Capitals) withdrew from the tournament citing personal reasons. After the Test was canceled due to Kovid, some former England cricketers had accused the BCCI of doing so because of the IPL.
