An independent college in Oxfordshire are seeking a Residential Houseparent for January 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. This is a full time and permanent role.
The College offers an exciting and challenging education. Pupils are part of a school community that cares for each other and allows each member to grow as an individual. There is a love of learning instilled within the pupils and the aim is for pupils to aspire to be leaders in all walks of life.
The Principal is seeking an adaptable, self-motivated, energetic and caring person to take up the role of Boarding Houseparent within their school. The primary role is to provide outstanding pastoral care. You will help to provide a relaxed, warm and caring environment which the children are happy to call “home”. Most importantly, the Boarding Houseparent must be compassionate and dynamic. The successful applicant must get to know each child and create an environment in which each pupil feels supported and encouraged to aim high and fulfil their potential. You will also be required to carry out some administrative duties.
The successful candidate will possess effective communication skills, both written and spoken and possess good organisational skills. You will understand the importance of attention to detail and have the ability to work with flexibility and with initiative and be a team player. You must have experience of working with young adults and ideally in a boarding environment.
