Almost 50 years have passed since the legendary performance of Elton John in the dodger stadium. That unforgettable concert in the United States launched the British musician to world stardom. This is why, to complete the circle, he will return to the same place to honor his audience and provide a last show in the country. Thats not all! Elton John Live: The Farewell Showas the great recital is called, will take place on Sunday, November 20, and will begin with its preview –Countdown to Elton Live– from the stadium, starting at 11:30 p.m. in Argentina through Disney+. “To feel the energy of the best fans, not only again at Dodger Stadium but this time from all over the world, from those who are watching it live from their homes, for me it will be something really very special.”, assured Elton John.
On his farewell, the singer-songwriter insisted: “I am excited to celebrate this special night with the whole world. I hope everyone feels the power and joy of performing on a stage as iconic as Dodger Stadium. Like I did almost 50 years ago”. In this way, it will commemorate a night that marked a before and after in the history of music, including guest artists who have not yet been announced and who will pay tribute to the legendary superstar on stage.
The concert will not only be an experience for all its fans around the world, but it will also serve as a prelude to the long-awaited original documentary by Disney+ to be titled Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: The final Elton John performances and the years that made his legend. This feature film will be directed by RJ Cutler and David FurnishOscar-nominated filmmakers, and will feature never-before-seen rehearsal and concert footage from the past 50 years, along with personal archival footage and exclusive interviews.
