The day after the announcement of Christopher Nkunku’s injury package for the 2022 World Cup, Randal Kolo Muani should leave in the coming hours with the France team in Qatar.

While the French delegation is leaving in the next few hours for Doha to join its base camp less than a week before the start of the Blues against Australia in this 2022 World Cup, the national coach has been forced to make an additional choice. Following Christopher Nkunku’s sprained knee, and the Leipzig striker’s withdrawal, and as authorized by FIFA regulations, Didier Deschamps called in a striker to replace him. And according to various sources, this last minute draft is Randal Kolo Muani, the former FC Nantes striker, who joined Frankfurt last summer. The 23-year-old Kolo Muani has been capped twice against Austria and Denmark this fall. Barring a huge surprise, he will therefore be in the group of 26 French players for the World Cup in Qatar.
