Dune: The Sisterhood, director Johan Renck announces the start of filming

Director Johan Renck announced on Instagram the start of filming on the new series Dune: The Sisterhood, conceived as a prequel to the story of the films.

Director Johan Renck announced thestart of filming of the series Dunes: The Sisterhoodthe spin-off project of the film directed by Denis Villeneuve which is based on the work of Frank L. Herbert.
The project is produced for HBO Max and the events are designed as a prequel story to the one told in the feature films.

Dune: The Sisterhood stars Emily Watson, Shirley Henderson, Indira Varma, Travis Fimmel, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds, and Chloe Lea.
Diane Ademu-John is creator, writer, co-showrunner and producer of the series. Alison Schapker will serve as co-showrunner and Jon Spaihts is also on the writing team.
