‘Doctor Strange 2’: Storyboard shows what happened to the original Mordo; Check out!

After ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ was released, the feature left a lot of questions in the air…

One would be the whereabouts of the original Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), from Earth 616, where the main events of the MCU take place.

As fans may remember, the post-credits scene of ‘Doctor Strange’ brings Mordo on a quest to exterminate all magic users in the world.

This is because he believes that only in this way would he be able to balance the scales of the universe.

However, the character was never seen again… And the Mordo who appears in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ is a version of the 838 universe.

It turns out that the original Mordo would be murdered by the Scarlet Witch early on in the plot, but the scene was eventually deleted.

However, the illustrator Jeremy Simser shared a storyboard confirming that the scene was actually scripted.

In the caption, she wrote:

“Ever wonder what happened to Universe 616’s Mordo? Well, a belated answer… This is what happened to him! It’s always interesting to be involved as the story is refined as I’m storyboarding. Who knows what Mordo’s ultimate fate may be? I do not! Deleted scenes don’t count! (PS – I’ve read several interviews where screenwriter Michael Waldron speaks directly about this deleted scene, so I feel it’s safe to post this.)”

According to Youtuber Heavy Spoilers:

“If you remember the end of ‘Doctor Strange‘, you’ll remember that the post-credits scene brought Mordo on a quest to kill the Wizarding World worse than what happens in ‘Fantastic Beasts’. At the ‘Multiverse of Madness‘ Strange even mentions how Mordo is trying to kill him when he meets his Illuminati version, he says anything to that effect at their last meeting.”

He continues:

“Mordo would be the main villain at the beginning of the sequel, but it would be a play to show how powerful Wanda has become. He would attack her, but in vain, and he would be beheaded on the spot. It would be a great way to kick off the movie and establish Wanda as the villain.”

Unfortunately, the video doesn’t explain why the scene was deleted.

In the official version, Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is the one who visits Wanda on her farm, discovering that she was responsible for sending demons after America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) across the Multiverse.
