Doctolib leaks government announcements on third dose of vaccine

It seems that Doctolib knows the government’s intentions before the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, makes his announcements during his press conference scheduled for Thursday at 12:30 pm. According to the booking platform, all people over 18 years old will be able to receive a third dose of vaccine from this Saturday, November 27. And this, five months after the date of the last injection. This is what Doctolib displays when looking to make an appointment for a Covid-19 vaccine booster (see screenshot below).

This update was, in fact, made in consultation with the ministry so that everything works when when the French rush to Doctolib to make their appointment following the announcements of Olivier Véran, according to our information. Thus, the government finally agrees with the opinion of the High Health Authority which recommended Thursday that the vaccine booster be done from the age of 18, 5 months after the complete vaccination. The HAS explained that “considers that the worrying epidemic context justifies an acceleration of the vaccination campaign by shortening the time between primary vaccination and booster dose”.
