With that, to help fans, Disney+ shows a timeline with the many productions of the MCU.

Within that timeline, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange 2) is after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Eternals, but before Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel.

It makes sense that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange 2) takes place before all these Disney+ series, but the problem lies in the connection with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

In Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Wong, Doctor Strange’s main ally, appears to help Shang-Chi.

The film’s ending even hints that Wong and Shang-Chi would have a new adventure together.

MCU timeline becomes more confusing

However, there is no mention of this in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange 2), or indeed any effect on the narrative.

This is a bit confusing considering that within the MCU timeline, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange 2) takes place right after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

It’s clear, however, that it’s a detail that’s easy to overlook, and it’s even possible that Marvel Studios will provide some explanation for it soon.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Doctor Strange 2) is now available on Disney+.
