‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘ is one of the most anticipated films by Marvel fans, not only for ending the hero trilogy, but also for kicking off the Phase 5 of the MCU.
And the film has the potential to be one of the main titles in the Multiverse Saga, as it will introduce the villain known as Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors).
Described as a descendant of Reed Richards in the comics, Nathaniel Richards was born in the 30th century and had access to a time machine, which allowed him to traverse different eras of humanity assuming different identities in an attempt to become a supreme ruler.
Because of their activities, the Fantastic Four realized their interference in space-time and they became great enemies from there, which led to a series of catastrophic events in history.
Along with this terrifying villain, Kevin Feige said during the San Diego Comic Con that the film will introduce great elements about the mythology of the Multiverse, which will be the subject of the next films of the ‘Avengers’.
The director Peyton Reed also participated in the event and assured the Access that the sequel will change the MCU forever.
“Start the Phase 5 It’s really exciting for us because we represent the movies from the ‘Ant Man‘. This is our third film, it’s the end of the trilogy. But the things that happen in this movie are going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe permanently. And it’s fun for us that Scott Lang is at the center of this change.”
Previously, the protagonist Paul Rudd spoke to Variety and did not hide his excitement about the film.
“It’s really exciting to start Phase 5 with an ‘Ant-Man’ movie… You know, bringing this character to life was quite an exciting adventure. And it was great to do a third movie, even more so when the plot is even bigger and more surprising than the other two because it goes in some wild directions. So it’s really exciting to be the one to kick-start everything they’re building.”
Remembering that ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘ debut in February 2023.
