In it you can see the dinosaurs as they lived 65 million years ago and also the famous ones Tyrannosaurus Rex from the “Jurassic Park” films. However, he’s here with you small feathers to see what corresponds to the current research findings, but not to the representation of the T-Rex ‘in the previous films. Opposite IGN has a director Colin Trevorrow now tells how he explains the difference:

“I think we have a really good logical explanation as to why these dinosaurs look different from the Jurassic dinosaurs we know. In this case we show them in yours original habitat. No frog DNA was used to bridge genomes. That gave us the opportunity to show dinosaurs with feathers. “

As a reminder: In the “Jurassic” universe, the DNA of most of the dinosaurs found is only incompletely preserved, which is why the gaps had to be filled in with DNA from other animals in order to clone the dinosaurs. In the case of the T-Rex, frog DNA was used, which may have led to the loss of the feathers. You can see what a T-Rex with feathers looks like in the prologue to “Jurassic World: A New Age”:

Director Colin Trevorrow regards the T-Rex as a superhero

Some new dinosaurs await in Jurassic World: A New Age. Which exactly these are should remain a secret, so that the audience will be surprised. For Trevorrow, the dinosaurs are just as much characters as the human characters in the film. Of course, the focus is on the T-Rex:

“It is one Origin story, in the sense that we might get it in a superhero movie. The T-Rex is a superhero for me. It really shows us this brilliant concept that Michael Crichton (author of Jurassic Park, editor’s note) came up with. The foundation on which all of this is built and it shows in its purest form. As you can see in this prologue, our T-Rex – it’s exactly the same – looks a bit different because the gaps in their genome had to be bridged. We didn’t want it to be unrecognizable. This is a heroic figure who we love and who is dear to our hearts. But it enabled us to contextualize what those 65 million years in Earth’s history really represent. “
