Delhi CM said on stubble and pollution – it is the fault of the governments, not the farmers as the solution was to be presented to them

Kejriwal said a survey conducted by WAPCOS, a central government agency, has shown very encouraging results on the use of bio decomposers.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said an audit conducted by a central agency in Delhi has found the use of Pusa Bio-Decomposer, a microbial solution, to be highly effective in stubble management. Kejriwal also urged the Center to ask neighboring states to distribute it free of cost to farmers.

Kejriwal said stubble burning by neighboring states in October is a major factor behind the high level of air pollution in Delhi. Kejriwal said, “It is not the fault of the farmers. It is the governments fault as they had to offer solutions.” He said last year, the Delhi government distributed bio-decomposer free of cost, which was used by farmers to convert stubble into manure on 1,935 acres of land in 39 villages.

A survey conducted by WAPCOS, a central government agency, has revealed very encouraging results on the use of bio decomposers. He said that ninety percent of the farmers claimed that the solution converts stubble into manure in 15-20 days. At the same time, the amount of carbon in the soil increased by 40 percent, nitrogen by 24 percent, bacteria by seven times and fungus by three times, he said.

The Chief Minister said that the germination of wheat also increased by 17-20 percent. “We appeal to the Center to ask the states to distribute bio-decomposer free of cost to farmers to prevent stubble burning,” he said, adding that he will meet the Union environment minister along with the audit report. and would request his personal intervention in the matter.

Let us tell you that due to the problem of stubble, many states have to face the problem. In many states, cases are also registered against the farmers on behalf of the police. Recently, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said that the government will withdraw the cases registered against farmers for burning stubble and no fine will be collected. Also, those from whom the fine has been taken, they will be refunded.
