  • Higher Education Department has released the first cutoff list for the first year of undergraduate graduation.
  • B.Com cutoff crosses 100% in all 9 government colleges of Gurgaon
  • Cut off 100 in many subjects from BSc to BA Honors

The Higher Education Department has released the first cut-off list for the first year of undergraduate graduation on Saturday. This time there has been a big jump in the merit list as compared to last year. One reason for this is the good marks the students got in class 12th without exams. The cutoff of B.Com has crossed 100% in all the 9 government colleges of the district, whereas till last year, the cutoff of hardly 2 colleges was close to 100% in B.Com. In that too Sector-14 Government Girls College has won. Here the cutoff of B.Com was 108%. Not only this, in many subjects from BSc to BA Honors, the cut off is being seen beyond 100.

The jump came due to the weightage of 10%
Actually students get maximum weightage up to 10% in 4 categories after their 12th marks. On the basis of this, they can get more good marks in the admission process. In such a situation, the faces of the students have blossomed with the arrival of the first merit list. Students got information about cutoff through SMS, email in the afternoon. This cutoff was to be released by 11 am, but due to technical problem, the students got the list after 3 pm. After the names appear in the cutoff, the students have been given time till September 15 to confirm their admission by depositing the fees online.

Fees can also be deposited in college
Principal of PG College, Sector-9, Dr. Satyamanyu Yadav said that now students will be able to pay fees till September 15. For which from Monday, students will also be able to come to the college to be a part of the offline process. A committee has been formed in the college for the offline fee process.

Merit jump:
RK Garg, Principal of Sector-14 Girls College said that this time the merit of all subjects has been very good. Last year in B.Com, where the first cutoff was 107%, this time it was 108%. The merit list of most of the subjects has remained above 100% this time. This merit list is prepared by combining the weightage marks only.
