Currently filming, Creed 3 should close the spin-off trilogy of rocky started seven years ago under the direction of Ryan Coogler. If Sylvester Stallone will not be there, his character should not disappear in this final chapter. here’s why
One month after the theatrical release of Creed 2 (2018) in which Adonis, son of Apollo and colt of Rocky, faced the son of one of his most formidable adversaries Ivan Drago (Rocky IV), Sylvester Stallone is considering pitting Michael B. Jordan against heavyweight Deontay Wilder as Clubber Lang’s son. The idea immediately appealed to Michael B. Jordan. Thus was born Creed 3. Its start will not however be formalized by the interpreter of Killmonger until some time later, in September 2019.
In February 2020, the scenario of Creed 3 is entrusted to a certain Zach Baylin, whose writing talent we were able to discover last year in the very successful The Williams Method with Will Smith headlining. In the process, the historical producer of the franchise, Irwin Winkler offers Michael B. Jordan to conclude the spin-off trilogy by offering him the greatest gift: the realization of the last part, thus taking up the torch from the hands of Ryan Coogler , certainly very busy with Black Panther 2. The actor thus takes his first steps behind the camera on the set of Creed 3 which began in January 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Creed still needs Rocky
In April 2021, Sylvester Stallone announced to his fans very sad news: Rocky will not be part of Creed 3. The actor is simply convinced that Adonis no longer needs his mentor. Former retired champion, will Rocky be dead and buried in the film? The screenwriter of Creed 3 would have every interest in not giving him this unfair treatment. After mourning the death of his trainer (Rocky III), mourned his wife (Rocky Balboa) and his brother-in-law (Creed), but also avenged the assassination of his best friend (Rocky IV), the boxer indeed deserves to spend happy days and enjoy his retirement with dignity, far from the boxing rings. Who said Rocky couldn’t have a happy ending?
