But faced with the outcry a week after its establishment, the teachers’ strike scheduled for Tuesday 11 and Thursday 13 January and after the explosion of cases of Covid in children since the start of the school year, resulting in the closure of several thousand classes, the Prime Minister has made some changes to this protocol by simplifying it.
First measure announced : children will have to wait a break to return home if they are in contact: “When a positive case is tested, we will not close the class and call the parents to come and pick up their child, (…) we will wait until the end of the school day“, thus indicated Jean Castex.
Second measure announced, the possibility for children to do three self-tests, and no longer a PCR test, then two self-tests on D + 2 and D + 4: “today, a contact child must do three tests: an antigen test in a pharmacy and two self-tests“, he explains, while specifying to have”asked the scientific and health authorities to be able to use three self-tests“.
And last measure : only one certificate will be required from children “once for all“, to come back to class. To meet the demand, Jean Castex also indicated that self-tests had been ordered: “this week, 11 million self-tests will be delivered to pharmacies“, he added.[display-posts orderby="rand"]
