The federal coronavirus information line handled 780,000 calls in 2021, Crisis Center spokesperson Yves Stevens said on Friday. Since the start of the crisis, the total has reached 1.54 million calls.

The line, free, was opened on February 3, 2020, at the same time as the site. During the first year, 761,188 calls were processed.

The figures show increases in calls after each consultation committee. In 2021, the peaks were reached in October after the announcement of the Covid Safe Ticket, in November for requests related to the holiday season and in June and July for information on holidays.
