The minister’s spokeswoman confirmed Ms. Dedonder’s negative test on Thursday morning. The Minister of Defense was to observe a quarantine, as were the Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and his Ministers of the Interior, Annelies Verlinden, of Foreign Affairs, Sophie Wilmès and of Justice, Vincent Van Quickenborne, who had all been in contact with French Prime Minister Jean Castex on Monday.

Ms Dedonder is therefore not contaminated, as has been confirmed for Mr De Croo, Ms Verlinden and Mr Van Quickenborne.

According to the screening rules, she will still have to undergo a second PCR test next week.
