Mats Rits was the metronome in midfield at Club Brugge last season, but a torn cruciate ligament meant that he had to be sidelined for a long time.
Rits was completely in the last matchdays of the regular competition on fire last season. In the last 8 games, he has scored 5 goals and 4 assists. Only one game he remained without a decisive statistic. He was only too happy to continue that form in the play-offs, but after half an hour on the second match day against Anderlecht, Rits tore his cruciate ligament.
7 months later, the midfielder’s rehabilitation seems to be completed because Mats Rits was again present on the training field to train with the group. Just during the World Cup break, Rits therefore gets the ideal opportunity to get completely fit for the rest of the season in the competition, cup and Champions League.
