Chris Hemsworth Admits He Got Tired of Thor After Film

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Chris Hemsworth admitted that he was getting tired of the role of Thor after his work on Thor: The Dark World.

The actor said he was feeling bored with the character, until the big revamp in Thor: Ragnarok came.

“I wasn’t satisfied with what I did in Thor 2. In fact, I was quite disappointed in my work.”

“I don’t think I made the character grow in any way, and I also don’t think I showed the audience anything that was unexpected or different.”

“When Thor: Ragnarok came out, because of my frustration, I felt like I wanted to break the mold of the character.”

“I said that directly to Taika. I’m not trying to blame any other directors, I’m just talking about my own performance.”

Chris Hemsworth consolidated himself as Thor in the movies, one of the main members of the Avengers.

The actor has played the character since 2011, appearing in several Marvel Studios productions.

Chris Hemsworth returns in Thor: Love and Thunder (Thor 4), which hits theaters on July 7, 2022.
