Next Sunday, April 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) will hold the fourth Festival Children’s and Youth Literature Panama 2023 (FESTILIJ); The purpose of this activity is to help raise awareness in society to unite families and give children the opportunity to have fun and exploit their social skills, as well as make their talents and abilities visible.
Call for poster parade
Within the Festival, they will hold a poster parade, children can participate in the call for the poster parade, in which they will be able to design and build their own art alluding to reading or a favorite book with a message about the importance of reading.

It is important to mention that the International Day of Children’s and Youth Literature has been celebrated since 1967, during the month of April on the occasion of the birth of the Danish writer, Hans Christian Andersen and Panama, through My Culture, organizes different events to raise awareness among the society about the importance of reading.
This year the event will be dedicated to the writer and promoter of children’s literature Patricia Alvarado, said MiCultura.
The FESTILIJ will have the sale and exhibition of books, storytelling, traditional games, children’s theater, puppet theater, creative workshops, music, dance, poetry and the presence of children’s book authors. At the end we invite you to come with a poster or sign with a message about the importance of reading or alluding to your favorite children’s book or story.
