This is the second time in the current financial year that the government is going to take loans through IBI. This time also the government is taking this loan for seven years.

According to officials, the revenue of the state has been affected due to Corona. At the same time, the amount received from the central government is also not being received. Because of this the state has to take a loan.
Debt load crossed 70 thousand crores
The debt burden on the state government has exceeded 70 thousand crores. In a written reply during the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha, it was told by the government that when the Congress government assumed power in December 2018, the government had a debt of 41 thousand 239 crores.
Government paying more than 360 crore interest every month
The state government is paying more than Rs 360 crore as interest every month. Last time, provision was made in the budget to pay interest of Rs 5,996 crore loan and repay the principal amount of Rs 4,841 crore. In the first supplementary budget of the current financial year presented in July, the government has made a provision of 105 crores.
