Lily’s identification with sustainable fashion It’s also about the career. She resells used pieces on an Instagram account with nearly 21,000 followers. With a wedding scheduled, she found a wedding dress from the 70s on one of her visits to thrift stores to buy pieces.
The piece cost just over R$270 and had a very vintage style, with a high collar, long sleeves and a lot of lace. “I called my amazing seamstress, showed her my ideas and we made my dream wedding dress,” said the American about the look used for the religious ceremony.

Another real find for Lily was the dress in a more minimalist wedding reception ceremony. “Once I found the perfect vintage wedding dress, I decided I wanted another vintage dress for the reception that was easier to dance to and walk around! I found this 1950s ball gown at a vintage store for about R$680” , said the bride.

When trying on the piece, Lily still discovered a small defect and bargained the price. “I convinced the owner to R$540 since the zipper was completely blown and let my seamstress do her magic!! After a shortened hem and a new zipper, it turned out perfect!” she explained.
