Catania, tugboat rescues over 200 migrants: images of the landing in the Sicilian port – Video

A tugboat flying the Italian flag with 209 migrants arrived in the port of Catania after rescuing them off the southeast coast of Calabria. The boat was escorted by patrol boats of the Port Authority. The migrants are all male, including 35 unaccompanied minors. They come from Afghanistan, Egypt and Syria. They will be hosted in the Palaspedini, a sports facility made available to the Municipality of Catania.
