what is meteorology
The scientific study of the atmosphere is called meteorology. It focuses on weather processes and forecasting. Meteorology is an extremely interdisciplinary science, drawing on the laws of physics and chemistry to help us understand the Earth’s atmosphere, its processes, and its composition. The region includes both weather and climate. It deals with the physical, dynamic and chemical state of the Earth’s atmosphere and the interactions between the atmosphere and the Earth’s surface.
The job of a meteorologist is to study the Earth’s atmosphere and physical environment, their development, effects and consequences on Earth. Their functions are as follows.
In this, scientists study solar radiation, solutions in the earth and atmospheric system etc.

In climatology, the scientist studies the climate of a particular region or place. After studying in one area for a few months, detailed research is done about the climate effect of that area and the changes caused by it.
In this area, information about low pressure areas, air, water, other weather systems, cyclones, pressure levels and maps collected in it, which gives a synoptic view of the weather of the whole world, etc.
Scientists study atmospheric processes through mathematical formulas in it. Due to both being together, it is also called Numeric Model.
In this field, the meteorological information is assessed by the scientists in the yield of crops and the damage caused by it.

In this, scientists do theory research towards aircraft design, air pollution and control architectural design, urban planning, air conditioning, tourism development etc.
Course and Qualification
There is a huge shortage of meteorologists in our country even today. Keeping this in mind, meteorology related courses are being run in many colleges and universities of the country. Youngsters who want to make a future in this field can pursue undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. The minimum educational qualification for undergraduate course is 12th pass with science stream Physics, Biology and Chemistry from any recognized institute. The graduate level course is of three years duration. If you want to take post graduate degree in this, then for this you must have B.Sc from any recognized university.
In this field where you can work as research and professor. On the other hand, radio and television centers, satellite space research centers, weather broadcasting centers, military departments, environmental agencies, radio and television centers, industrial meteorological research organizations, satellite space research centers and world meteorological centers can also work on good packages. .
