The Canadian intelligence service CSIS has launched an investigation into residents who have received realistic death threats from Iran. The CSIS will announce this on Saturday.

The death threats are said to be aimed at silencing the targeted people. “The intention is to ensure that they do not speak publicly against Iran,” it sounds. Several people would be harassed, intimidated and threatened.

It is not the first time that there has been concern about Iran. The United Kingdom already reported on Wednesday that there have been at least ten attempts in the UK to kidnap or kill Britons, who are considered dangerous in Tehran.

The fact that Canadians are also targeted may have something to do with the fact that the country has introduced a series of sanctions against Iran for human rights violations.
