Can it? Ms series Marvel references Superman

The connected universe of Marvel allows references to characters from other movies and series and fans love to notice these small details. However, the Ms. Marvel in Disney+ went too far by bringing in a reference to Superman, hero of rival publisher, DC Comics.

You may not have noticed, but the first episode of Ms. Marvel introduced something subtle, but still readable, in the video created by Kamlha Khan about the Battle of Earth from Avengers: Endgame. The highlight of the video was her favorite heroine, Captain Marvel, who destroyed Thanos’ ship.

Among the drawings, a cockatoo with a yellow mohawk copying Carol Danvers’ helmet entered the scene and a military jet draw attention, recalling the famous “Is it a bird? Is it an airplane? It’s Superman” — or in this case, it’s Captain Marvel!

The website comic book states that there are more elements that link Captain Marvel to Superman, as they both possess cosmic powers, can fly, are very strong, and even have the same color scheme, combining red, blue, and gold in their costumes.

Ms. Marvel is on Disney+

Kamala Khan is known as Captain Marvel’s biggest fan. Unexpectedly, the girl gains powers through a bracelet and begins to act against crime.

The Disney+ series tells the origins of Ms. Marvel. Brie Larson is expected to appear as Carol Danvers.

Both heroines will be in the highly anticipated film The Marvels. At the same time, Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), who appears in WandaVision, also returns in the sequel.

Ms. Marvel has already premiered on Disney+, with new episodes on Wednesdays.
