PSG are very close to completing the transfer of Nordi Mukiele for less than 15 million euros from RB Leipzig.
After securing the services of Vitinha and Hugo Ekitike, Paris Saint-Germain is about to complete its third summer transfer window recruit. Indeed, L’Equipe confirms in its edition of the day that an agreement has almost been reached with Red Bull Leipzig for the loan with automatic purchase option of Nordi Mukiele. Contrary to certain files (Ekitike, Vitinha), it is Nasser Al-Khelaïfi who deals in person with the discussions with his German counterparts. Indeed, the boss of PSG has very good relations with the leaders of Leipzig and has thus taken things in hand for several weeks in order to tie up the arrival of Nordi Mukiele. Before his official appointment, Luis Campos had established a specific plan to strengthen the workforce of PSG and the former defender of Montpellier was part of it, as well as Milan Skriniar, whose arrival in Paris is however compromised.
PSG rather than Atlético or Man United for Mukiele
Paris Saint-Germain want to play in 3-4-1-2 next season, a tactical device that suits Nordi Mukiele perfectly, who has been playing in a similar system at Leipzig for several years. The French international has another advantage: in this device, he is able to play right piston or right central defender. A major argument for Paris SG, which also took advantage of the player’s contractual situation, free in a year, to negotiate his arrival at a lower cost. PSG, who no longer want to overpay any rookie, are about to close the deal for less than 15 million euros, a rare opportunity for a player of such a level. Courted by Atlético de Madrid and Manchester United, Nordi Mukiele has preferred PSG since the start of negotiations. The French, however, expected to have guarantees on the organization and the new structure put in place in Paris. He was quickly reassured by the Parisian staff and an agreement was reached between the player and the reigning vice-champion of France. Four months from the World Cup, Nordi Mukiele knows he has a huge chance to play if he manages to establish himself as a Paris Saint-Germain starter.
