But that looks like big blunders! In the second trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, fans discovered quite clearly more Spider-Men in two places.
As Doc-Ock actor Alfred Molina first publicly about his participation in „Spider-Man: No Way Home“ spoke, he called himself Hollywood’s worst-kept secret. The next and last film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) should continue to hold this title in 2021. However, it now belongs to the old Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.
Perfect preparation: Watch “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (again) on Amazon Prime Video
Because even if Garfield vehemently denies his appearance and MCU architect Kevin Feige warns against too high expectations, pretty much everyone now assumes that the two old Spider-Men in “No Way Home” Tom Holland are company. And the second trailer for his next adventure could even have confirmed that.
What is Lizard hit by in the “No Way Home” trailer?
It is true that one does not see Garfield and Maguire in it; This “surprise” is what they want to keep until the cinema release. But the fans noticed two inconsistencies. One is pretty obvious: In the already epic moment when the MCU Spider-Man (Tom Holland) apparently jumps alone towards the three villains Electro (Jaime Foxx), Sandman and Lizard, the latter obviously flies past him as if they were Lizard wants to attack something that is not there.
This moment in the Brazilian version of the trailer turns out to be really curious, because the Lizard is almost never hit by anything:
The fans are of course aware of what has most likely happened here: Presumably at this moment all three Spider-Men can be seen confronting the three villains, only all but Tom Holland’s Marvel hero were cut out to keep the surprise . In truth, Lizard will probably be hit by another Spider-Man who is missing in the trailer, but not Lizard’s reaction to the blow.[display-posts orderby="rand"]
In fact, another discovery that an extremely attentive fan shared on Twitter seems even stranger. Although it may not be directly recognizable due to the darkness and the low resolution, on closer inspection it is quite clear that an arm of a Spider-Man was overlooked during retouching on the left edge of the picture:
Interestingly, the scaffolding in this scene fits in with a supposed leak, the authenticity of which Andrew Garfield denied. Despite these indications, it should now be clear that the responsible Sony studio will no longer officially confirm an appearance by Tobey Maguire and Garfield before the cinema release. Fortunately, the waiting time has now been reduced by one day: “Spider-Man: No Way Home” will start in German cinemas on December 15, 2021. So Marvel Wednesday, which the series established on Disney + and “Eternals”, lives on!
