‘Brutal Nights’ director to helm New Line’s new horror

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zach Cregger (‘Brutal Nights’) will direct, write and produce the horror ‘Weapons‘, which is being developed by New Line Cinema.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the project is being described as “an epic horror with many narratives in the same vein as ‘Magnolia’ (1999)”.

Richard Brenerboss of New Linedeclared: “With ‘Brutal Nights,’ Zach has already proven that he can create a visceral experience for moviegoers. We couldn’t be happier that he has chosen us to be the home of his next film. We hope this is the first of many.”

The film will be distributed internationally by Warner Bros..

Please note that ‘brutal night‘ became one of the great hits of the genre in 2022. With approval from 92% of critics on Rotten Tomatoesterror grossed more than $45 million worldwide, from a budget of just $4.5 million.
