‘Brobbey and Rensch not to World Cup in Qatar, Klaassen selected’

Brian Brobbey and Devyne Rensch will not play for the Netherlands at the World Cup in Qatar, so you know The Telegraph to report. The Ajax players were part of the pre-selection, but will ultimately not go to Qatar.

Brobbey was first allowed to report to national coach Louis van Gaal halfway through the last international period. The Ajax striker replaced the injured Memphis Depay at the time. Since then, Brobbey has had its highs and lows. Although the Ajax player was in the pre-selection, he will most likely have to follow the World Cup at home.

The same goes for Rensch. The right back has played one international match so far and seems to be staying there for the time being. Rensch was called up by Van Gaal last international period, but now seems to be losing his spot to Jeremie Frimpong, who is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen. Rensch experienced a period of injury after the last international match and then lost his regular starting place to the Mexican Jorge Sánchez.

Klaassen does go to the World Cup

Davy Klaassen can already pack his suitcase. The midfielder seems to be selected by Van Gaal and can therefore make his debut at a world championship. In addition to Klaassen, Kenneth Taylor, Steven Berghuis, Jurriën Timber, Remko Pasveer, Daley Blind and Steven Bergwijn still have a chance of a place in the World Cup selection.
