Blonde hair : a fictional biography of Marilyn Monroe
After a very long gestation, marked in particular by the departures of Naomi Watts and Jessica Chastain, Blonde hair finally arrives. Directed by Andrew Dominik, to whom we owe the fabulous The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Cogan: Killing Them Softlythe feature film is adaptation of the eponymous book by Joyce Carol Oatesfictional biography of Marilyn Monroe.
The film should thus return to the unhappy childhood of Norma Jean Mortenson, to her youth marked by poverty and sexual abuse, but also to her consecration as Marilyn Monroe in the early 1950s. The teaser resumes a melancholic version of Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend, alternates between flamboyant moments and others of despair, going from black and white to color.
Ana de Armas metamorphosed
Appropriating iconic images of the star, like the one where her white dress flies away, this preview also reveals the actress and singer begging in front of a mirror, as if Norma Jean was imploring Marilyn to come back before going on stage. This is what seems to happen in the final seconds, where artificial laughter comes to erase the tears.
Ana de Armas has completely disappeared behind the features of Marilyn Monroe. Metamorphosed, the actress impresses during these few sumptuous seconds, which only reinforce the impatience around this long-awaited project. Adrien Brody, Garret Dillahunt, Bobby Cannavale, Julianne Nicholson, Sara Paxton and Scoot McNairy complete the cast of Blonde hair.
