Bill Kaulitz: Bassist Georg wants to get rid of Bill Kaulitz’ image "distance"

Bad air between the “Tokio Hotel” members? Bill Kaulitz makes no secret of his regular alcohol consumption. Much to the displeasure of his bandmate Georg Listing, who even had to have a “serious word” with the lead singer.

Bill Kaulitz, 32, reports with a “little buzz” for a new episode of his joint podcast “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard from Hollywood” with twin brother Tom Kaulitz, 32. He had “a little summer drink” before the recording indulged in a boat, he reveals. The fact that the two “Tokio Hotel” stars drink alcohol during their podcast has now become a real ritual. Only one person doesn’t seem to like the party image of his bandmates: bassist Georg Listing, 35.

Bill Kaulitz: Georg is “slowly getting too much”

“So the image, Georg doesn’t like it at all. He just had a serious word with me. And he said it was getting too much for him and he wanted to distance himself from it,” Bill reports to his brother. “Personally or professionally?” he asks. “I think both. I don’t think he thinks it’s good for my career. He also thinks it’s exaggerated privately. He doesn’t think it’s good that I’m attached to it like that,” says the band’s singer.

Georg now wants Bill to “take a different path”, “and that’s not the case at all,” the 32-year-old justifies himself. “I always save that for the podcast. It’s a special day and then I’ll have a drop here in the podcast, but otherwise I’ll work my ass off.” Bill is after him one of the hardest working people he knows, Tom also defends his twin.

Tom Kaulitz: “He is the absolute philistine”

After a photo shoot with the entire band, Georg Listing was recently “very unhappy”. Bill and he then moved on together to do promotional work and interviews. While the “Tokio Hotel” frontman was happy that the radio stations had already prepared a “good drop” for his visit, the bassist just laughed as if to say: “What an image you have, that everyone is already putting champagne in front of you. That’s embarrassing!”

However, Bill Kaulitz does not want to listen to his colleague’s admonishing words and urges his future interviewees not to be discouraged from an alcoholic greeting. “We love Georg more than anything, but he’s the complete opposite of us. He’s an absolute philistine,” explains Tom. He hardly drinks at all and only allows himself a beer in exceptional cases.
