According to the latest data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), criminals outnumbered the police even during the lockdown in Bihar. According to this report, Bihar remained on top in two serious cases.

Be it ATM fraud or attack on police – Bihar on top
In the ‘Crime in India-2020’ report released by NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau), Bihar topped in ATM fraud, property dispute and attacks on police categories. Bihar has registered 642 cases of ATM frauds, 4,838 cases of land and property disputes and 77 cases of attacks on police personnel and government officials in the last year.

Crime cases increased by 28% in Corona period
Actually, due to the havoc of Corona, in the year 2020, people spent most of their time indoors. There was a lockdown, there were restrictions, work from home continued, there was very little movement in the roads and markets. But instead of decreasing, criminal incidents increased.

Even in such a time, the cases of crime in the country increased by 28 percent. However, most of these cases were related to violation of the rules of Kovid-19. Crime against women and children has decreased. In the Corona era, cases of online fraud, fake information on social media have increased rapidly.

On an average, 9 people are killed daily in Bihar.
In the year 2020, an average of 80 murders took place in the country every day and the total figure reached 29,193. In this case, Uttar Pradesh is at number one in the list of states. In UP, 3 thousand 779 people were murdered. While Bihar remained at number two, 3 thousand 150 people were murdered here. It is followed by Maharashtra, MP, West Bengal and Delhi. There was a lockdown in the country from 25 March 2020 to 31 May 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
