Biggest-Grossing Terror of Years Debuts on Paramount+

With $217 million raised worldwide, the terror ‘He used to smile‘ became the highest-grossing film of its kind in recent years.

The film managed to surpass the total box office of ‘The Conjuring 3: The Devil’s Order‘ ($206.4M), making it the highest grossing of its kind since the start of the pandemic.

Furthermore, the original Paramount Pictures already overcamePanic‘ ($140M) and ‘The Black Phone‘ ($159.5M), clinching the title of top horror of 2022.

Now, the film arrives in Brazil on Paramount + streaming.

With a budget of just $17 millionhorror can already be considered another success of the genre and, possibly, the beginning of a new successful franchise.

In the plot, after witnessing a traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter begins to be haunted by supernatural occurrences that she cannot explain. Soon, she must confront her troubled past to survive and escape her sinister new reality.
