In the past, both of them have definitely tried to reduce the tension by coming on one platform. Meanwhile, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi may soon visit Bastar in Chhattisgarh. Only then will he take a final decision on the ongoing power struggle in the state. Health Minister TS Singh Deo is demanding change of leadership in the state. Sources have told that Rahul Gandhi will probably go on a two-day tour of the tribal area.
Actually, CM Bhupesh Baghel was on a Delhi tour after a confrontation with TS Singh Deo. During this he met Rahul Gandhi. During the meeting, Bhupesh Baghel had invited Rahul Gandhi to visit Chhattisgarh. Sources said that Rahul Gandhi will take the final decision regarding the change of leadership in Chhattisgarh. It is being said that an official announcement can be made soon regarding Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Chhattisgarh.
However, a senior functionary of the party while talking to our associate newspaper Times of India said that till now the talk of change of leadership has not come to the fore, it is an open issue. At the same time, CM Bhupesh Baghel is confident of continuing in his post. He has said in an interview to a TV channel that he has not been instructed by the top leadership to step down.
Congress official said that a three-day program has been sent to Rahul Gandhi regarding the Chhattisgarh tour, soon he will take a decision on it. At the same time, TS Singh Deo is now claiming for the post of CM. He and his men argue that he was promised a separate term with Baghel after the party came to power in December 2018.
