Bhopal Health News First kidney transplant successful in Hamidia Hospital preparations for next start

Bhopal Health News: Bhopal (New World Representative). The kidney transplant performed last week at Hamidia Hospital was successful. The condition of the kidney transplant patient and his kidney donor wife is better. The wife will be discharged from the hospital within a day or two, while the husband will be kept in the ICU for about 10 days. According to the doctors, the test reports of both are coming normal. Kidney is working properly. Significantly, on September 7, a kidney transplant was performed at Hamidia Hospital. Hamidia is the first government hospital in the state where kidney transplant facility has been started.

Hamidia Hospital’s kidney specialist Dr. Himanshu Sharma told that after the first patient is discharged, the next transplant will be done. Preparation for this has started. Three patients and those who donated their kidneys are being examined. In these, whose investigation will be completed first and everything will be fine in the investigation report, it will be sent to the Argon Transplant Committee for approval. After getting approval from here, the transplant will be done. All the patients who are currently preparing for kidney transplant are the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat scheme. Under this scheme, kidney transplant is done free of cost. Under the scheme, its package is about four lakh rupees, but the government hospital gets only about 60 percent of the amount.

Superintendent of Hamidia Hospital, Dr. Lokendra Dave said that kidney transplant for non-Ayushman patients can also be done here for 2.5 to 3 lakh rupees. However, the amount for this has not been decided yet.
