Bhilai. In the meeting held in the board room of SAIL Corporate Office, an agreement has been reached regarding the new pay scale of the officers. The starting scale of Assistant Manager E-1 Grade in SAIL will start from Rs.60,000. Which is a scale at par with other Government Maharatna establishments. This is a great achievement. SAFI Chairman NK Banchore and team and SAIL-Management on behalf of Chairman Smt. Soma Mandal, Director (Technical, Project and Raw-Material) Harinand Rai and Director Finance Amit Sen and other high officials of SAIL attended the meeting. Similarly, the matter of the promoted officers of 2008 and 2010 has also been discussed in detail in the meeting, which will be done after the suggestions of the committee constituted for redressal.
In the meeting with the management also, SAFI reiterated its demand for early implementation of third pay revision as per DPE guidelines and payment of arrears. SAIL Management, showing its positive attitude in this regard, agreed to implement Third Pay Revision at the earliest with maximum benefit under the DPE Guidelines. In this meeting, it was also agreed that from April 1, 2020, along with the new salary and dearness allowance, the dues of perks will also be paid in one lump sum.
Senior officers will be exempted from stagnation as per the pay scales decided by the Management and SEFI. Where the starting scale of E-1 is starting from Rs 7000 and going up to Rs 120000. The pay scale of the officers posted in E-6 to E-8 will start from Rs 120000 to a maximum of Rs 280000. Extension of the scale The officers will not have to face stagnation during the tenure of the initial scale being 2.5 times.
