One of Batgirl’s directors, Adil El Arbi, has shared a new behind-the-scenes image showcasing Michael Keaton’s Batman.
Canceled by Warner Bros. Discovery, the feature film would bring a live-action film of the character for the first time.
Filmmaker El Arbi revealed in his Instagram stories an image from the set with Leslie Grace as Batgirl, and possibly Keaton as Batman (via ScreenRant).
Batgirl would once again mark Keaton’s role as Batman, as well as his presence in The Flash, the highly anticipated feature film.

According to David Zaslav, the studio was not very confident with the project, and because of that, it decided to discard the film (via ScreenRant).
“We’re not going to release a movie until it’s ready. We’re not going to release a movie to earn a room, and we’re not going to release a movie unless we believe in it,” Zaslav said.
DC will have its own studio, as will Marvel, and Zaslav has revealed a long-term plan for the publisher. The idea is to “protect the DC brand”.
“The goal is to grow the DC brand, to grow the DC characters, but also our job is to protect the DC brand, and that’s what we’re going to do,” he commented.
